The welcome was warm, and once we arrived the countryside views and room floating on the river made it a lovely place to be. Getting there is tricky, but you can take a ferry from the main road and save 10km. It takes about 5 minutes and can carry 2cars maximum.

I wouldn't stay here again for 1000baht a night during covid times. I was one of just 2 guests, and 300baht seems a fairer price for the room quality. The floating room is dated, and the Aircon barely worked. After riding 500km in 37c, it took 4hours to cool the room, and I drank probably 4liters of water while trying not to get heatstroke. Getting to the water means walking down a very dangerous boat ramp, then crossing a little bridge to the floating walkway. The main draw is the experience of sleeping in a floating room. If you want the photos and the story of having slept in a little room on a river, go for it. We only live once!

There are paths through the evergreen rice fields, with routes from one field to another, and Buddhist wats to visit. We spent 2.30 hours jogging and biking over 8 km. Local people are generous and keep an eye on you with care, and they may offer a ride home or somewhere else. It's a lovely, quiet place near the resort, but the property needs extensive restoration.
