The area was pleasant and quiet, and the apartment was well soundproofed. There’s parking for both bikes and cars, plus a lovely park nearby. Being able to bring pets was a big plus. When something in the apartment broke, the owner covered the cost of replacing it for us. We recommend it.

The smallest unit is 50 sqm, and at this price in Phuket that’s a bargain. It’s a quiet, safe place that works well for families and pets. Shopping malls, restaurants, a private hospital, a duty-free mall, and a park for exercise or picnics are all close by. There are also several international and private schools nearby. Highly recommend!

The mold and the way management handled things made this apartment completely unacceptable for us. Phuket is a lovely town and island, but booking a place can be misleading when the photos or stated conditions don’t match. Living Residence Phuket was a place I wouldn’t wish on anyone. We were told the earliest check-in was 4 pm, but when we arrived there was no check-in process. A woman in the garage called the property manager, who said the apartment wasn’t ready. A few minutes later, we spoke with a man named Riccardo, who then said it was clean after all. As soon as we walked in, there was a powerful mold smell. We saw mold coming through the walls, a fridge full of black mold, ruined chairs, and a moldy couch. We first thought perhaps it could all be cleaned, but the living room AC was broken, and the bedroom AC blew mold dust into my face. It was clear a quick clean wouldn’t solve it. We handed the key back straight away and tried to reach Riccardo. He read our messages and ignored every request for several days, until we threatened to leave an honest review. Then he said Ivan was the owner and he had nothing to do with it. After more emails, they promised a refund and said Riccardo would handle it. Days passed with no reply again, and only after another mention of an honest review did they tell us to seek a refund from homeaway, which they knew would not refund us. Aside from the money, the apartment wasn’t fit to rent and could be dangerous to live in. Mold might be cleanable, but getting it out of an AC unit would be very difficult. They showed no interest in making the customer happy. Update: It seems many other people have had the same problem. Avoid at all costs. I’ve just read the reply you wrote seven years ago. Claiming we were competitors was a complete lie. I never got my money back. Judging by the replies accusing reviewers of being criminals and breaking your rules, it’s clear you make up extreme stories when someone leaves a truthful review, and you’re still doing it seven years later. That’s the scary part. You’ve inspired me to make a video about this place, hopefully to spare a few guests an unhealthy and dangerous experience.
