My Beach Resort Phuket

This was our third visit to My Beach Resort Phuket in three years, and it felt like coming home again. The resort is small, pretty, and peaceful, with a warm, family-like feel. Staff are welcoming every time, the service is excellent, the food is very good, and the beach is clean and relaxing. It's a quiet, cozy spot away from the crowded tourist areas, just right if you want to relax. We'll be back again. Thanks, My Beach Resort Phuket!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at My Beach Resort. Vicky, the Front Office Manager, was especially excellent, warm, professional, and helpful. Duan ran the restaurant with charm and efficiency, and the rest of the staff were friendly and ready to assist. The resort itself is beautiful, modern, and stylish. Swimming at the beach can be tricky at low tide because of the rocks. It was fine for us from around 10:30 to 4 pm, but check the tides for the time of year. There are also two pools with stunning views of the beach and the surrounding scenery.

I'm still at My Beach Resort Phuket, and this stay has been far below my usual standards. I booked a Premier Beach Front room through Priceline, but on arrival they took me to a Pool Access room instead. I showed reception the Priceline receipts several times, which clearly showed the room I'd paid for. They said they'd contact the third-party booker and get back to me, but no one did. I ended up spending over two hours on the phone with Priceline to work out what had happened. The booking company had entered the wrong reservation type. Even though the hotel could see I'd booked the Premier Beach Front, reception said I could either stay in the wrong room or pay a daily upgrade fee for the room I'd already paid for. The third party later called to check whether that room was available, and it was. A normal customer service response would have been to put me in the correct room. I know mistakes happen, but the staff made no effort to help fix this. There was no empathy or alternative, just being told to take it up with Priceline. I paid for a particular experience and was left feeling stranded. Customer service should mean taking responsibility for the guest's stay. I won't be back.

The meals were a real highlight, especially breakfast, with plenty of good quality options for different tastes. During the day, activities are gentle, like beach yoga or aqua aerobics in the pool, with Thai kick boxing in the afternoon for anyone wanting something more energetic. My wife and I spent a week here and had a great holiday. The view over the beach and bay from reception is stunning, and all the staff were very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and have what you need. I think they all have sea views. My one concern was the dark bathroom. It's around an hour south of the airport, depending on traffic. There are other shops and restaurants nearby if you want local food, and those were very good too. We enjoyed the visit and would definitely return.
