The Model Garden

I came back for four more nights in January 2025, and everything was just as good as before. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, the beds were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll be back soon. I’ve added new photos, though they’re only of the outside. I’ve stayed here several times now. It’s a simple, modern place with two room types, and the rooms are clean and practical. The air conditioning works well, the beds are comfortable, and the fiber internet is fast. There’s a lobby spot to sit and relax, with free tea and coffee, plus a vending machine for beer and soft drinks. Rooms also have a minibar and kettle. There’s a large car park out front, and booking is easy through AGODA or by phone, Line, Facebook, and other channels. Great value for the money. My last photos were poor because I was busy and had to check out at 5 a.m., while it was still dark.

The best night’s sleep I’ve had in a while, thanks to a really good soft mattress. There’s a kettle and coffee in the room, with more available near reception. The bedrooms are spotless, and the fixtures and fittings feel high quality. It’s a new hotel, so the decor is in great shape, with a stylish modern look. The reception has a collection of old cameras on one wall and model toys on the other. It’s about a two minute walk along the main road from the bus station, and there’s plenty of parking. There’s no restaurant on site, but food is easy to find in Thailand. Three restaurants are across the main road, with tasty food at very good prices. I paid 650 baht for one night, which felt like great value for a brand new hotel. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels in Thailand, and this is the best so far. I’d definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

Parking was a real problem for me. A construction truck, or possibly a ten wheeler, had taken a regular car space, leaving me to park beside these big vehicles with no other area available. I asked the woman at reception if she could have them moved to avoid an accident, but she said she couldn’t contact the drivers. They were drinking beside the vehicle. I found that kind of service unbelievable, and parking is especially hard to find if you arrive after 6 p.m. I haven’t seen such bad parking at the other hotels in Yasothorn. The room itself was spacious, nicely designed, and still felt new since the hotel opened in 2022. The price was reasonable at 650 baht a night. But there were other issues. In Room 112, people having breakfast and talking with family in the lobby could be heard very loudly. Even the sound of car exhaust outside was quieter. A door between the lobby and the first floor rooms would help. There was also a very bad smell when I turned on the bathroom light, which seemed to activate ventilation from the waste water pipe. I hope they fix that urgently. I stopped staying at Zen hotel for the same smell.

The staff were friendly, and parking was available. The location worked well, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Clean room, comfortable bed, and a good shower.
