The market and cafe just southeast of the hotel are handy, and the cafe is excellent. I stayed several nights and had a very good time overall. My room was clean, though the hotel feels dated, and the air conditioning can vary from room to room. Mine worked well; some rooms on upper floors have their own mini-splits. Staff were accommodating, and someone at reception always spoke useful English. I'd happily return.

The grocery shop on the right and a really good cafe nearby made the location convenient. We were with the Lupine Travel group on a 5 Stans trip, and this was our first stop. We got in at 3am. The room was okay, but the air conditioning wasn't working well, so we had to take cold showers to sleep comfortably.

There was hot water and the bathroom fixtures all worked, though our room had no power. The hotel has seen better days, and there wasn't much in the way of amenities, so bring your own soap or shower gel.

The staff were very friendly, and I especially liked the view of the city at night from the upper floors. The hotel itself is old, with Soviet-style rooms and dated amenities. Its location is great, though, with plenty of markets and restaurants within walking distance.

The staff were rude and not friendly. My room smelled, the AC was noisy and barely worked, and the Wi-Fi was very hit or miss.
