I booked and paid for five nights but left after two. That was partly because the city felt limited for tourist activities, as well as because of the hotel. When I later asked for a car, they wanted a deposit, even though I'd already said I was checking out early and wasn't asking for a refund for the nights I wouldn't use. That seemed unreasonable. The internet didn't work at all during my stay, the minibar was empty, and when I asked for water they only offered large bottles and charged extra. The room had no tissues and just one trash bin, in the bathroom. Some staff were helpful, but others weren't. The older man on the late shift was dismissive when I asked politely for a small bite at 5 a.m. so I could take my medication. He reluctantly let me take something from the open buffet and said, “We are not open yet, this is exceptional.” It was disappointing not to get more understanding. There were a few positives, but the service and basic hospitality were inconsistent. My early departure wasn't only about the hotel, though the visit was disappointing overall.

The location is nice, but this place is a glorified roadside stop, not an exclusive resort. It's dated and dingy, with broken internet and loud music going late into the night. By Western standards it's barely 3-star. Staff were rude and seemed untrained, treating guests like street traffic. The pool bar was filthy. My plate still had streaks of harissa from the previous diner, and there was an onion slice floating in my citronade. They laughed when I asked about it. Service was awful and the food regrettable, breakfast included. The pool attendant, who looked homeless and was missing a bunch of teeth, singled me out to prove I was a guest, though he didn't do that to anyone else. He spoke to me in French, which I don't speak, and ignored my requests for English or Arabic. Management will probably read this and offer an apology worth about 10 millimes. Don't apologize to me, do better. Avoid.

A typical hotel for Europeans, a little old, but clean and well located.

I had a great experience during my recent stay at BIZERTA Hotel. I was there twice, for 15+15 days, making 30 days in total, and every team member I met was kind and helpful. The room was kept impeccably clean by the housekeeping staff, and I look forward to coming back. One suggestion: it would be appreciated if the hotel continued to offer complimentary bottled water in the restaurant, or included its cost in the overall price.
