We stayed from September 24th to October 1st, 2025, and the experience was terrible, to put it mildly. The hotel and restaurant service were decent, and the staff were very polite. The hotel and rooms looked nothing like the photos, but that wasn’t the main problem. By day three, our hotel beach towels, rented against a deposit, had been stolen. The general manager called it “the risk of the deposit,” which was very unprofessional. Our travel agency representative, Mrs. Simona Radojković, even suggested stealing someone else’s towels in return, as though that were normal. We spent the whole holiday without towels and felt unsafe throughout. What’s next, someone stealing us too? Jelena from the Sunline agency helped us a great deal. She was in Belgrade, and despite our poor internet connection we managed to reach her. All praise to her, that’s real professionalism. At the end, the hotel director offered us a special dinner, although we were all-inclusive, and to refund the full deposit, but only if we signed a paper agreeing not to post a negative review. In short, avoid this hotel.

It’s a spacious, beautiful hotel with all the amenities, but the staff service was frustrating. The reception workers didn’t seem up to the job, and the restaurant waiters were chaotic. You have to chase them and beg just to get a table cleaned. Even getting a fork and a napkin is a real struggle.

The poor maintenance and hygiene were my biggest concerns, and the rude, unhelpful staff made the whole stay even more bitter. This atrocious hotel ruined the trip. I expected to spend most of our time at the resort pool, but the place was nothing like it had appeared online. The rooms and the rest of the hotel smelled awful. Rooms were moldy, broken, and neglected; the bathroom tap was covered in limescale, and there was mold on the curtains. There was no Wi-Fi and not even basic things like toilet paper in the rooms. Everything felt dirty and badly outdated, with no system for anything. Nothing looked like the online photos. The beach was just a tiny strip of sand covered with piles of seaweed, so that wasn’t enjoyable either. The island itself wasn’t what I’d expected from the internet. I like exploring cultures and busy markets, and don’t need luxury when I travel. I went with an open mind and low expectations, but there wasn’t much there beyond tourist excursions like quad biking and horse riding. There weren’t many restaurants or takeaways. I did find fun excursions to fill the time, but they ultimately felt like wasted money. Djerba also seemed poorly maintained and boring, with little to do. I’m glad I got to experience the island and thankful to the few people outside the hotel who made things a bit better, but I wish someone had told me about the lack of basic necessities and culture instead of presenting it as a beautiful, busy island. I wish I could get back the time and money I wasted here. I’d rather have skipped the holiday altogether. I’ll never use love holidays again, and can’t recommend strongly enough that you don’t book this place. If you’re thinking about Djerba, I’d suggest staying in Tunisia and spending 1-2 days on Djerba to visit flamingo island. There are literally no flamingos there, though it is pretty. If you go, don’t book this hotel. I’d stick to a Radisson Bleu or another well-known 5-star place if this is what they call 4-star. It should be 2-star.

The private beach is a real plus, and the staff were mostly friendly and helpful. I recently stayed at El Mouradi Djerba Menzel in Tunisia, but there isn’t much nearby to do, with no shops or restaurants close by. My room was disappointing. There was no chair on the terrace, and reception never replaced it after I asked on the first day. The mirrors looked long uncleaned, the small lights were dusty, and an electrical socket wasn’t fixed properly. Food choices could be better too, especially the limited salads and drinks. The hotel has potential, but room upkeep, cleanliness, and food variety need improvement.

The beach restaurant and bar staff were all wonderful and kind, and nearly everyone on the animation team was great too. Fyras especially was polite, funny, and just perfect. The gym was dirty, and there were quite a few dogs and cats around the hotel. They were friendly, but looked hungry. With so much food being wasted, giving some of it to them would be a humane thing to do.
