TUI BLUE Palm Beach Palace Djerba - Adults Only

The cats wandering around the property were such a treat, and the beach was lovely, with great service right to our lounge chairs. At lunch there was fresh fish every day, and the food overall was incredible. It was my first all-inclusive resort, and from arrival I felt right at home. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with a sea view. Every staff member we met was kind, helpful, and attentive. The whole stay felt relaxing and a little magical. I'd gladly come back.

We loved our third visit just as much as the earlier ones. The hotel is beautiful, meals are excellent, and there's dancing and entertainment every evening from the animation team. Everyone made us feel welcome. A special thank you to Faruk, the reception manager; Sabri at the pool bar, always smiling and making cocktails; Sabeur in the restaurant; Wajdi and Louay at the evening bar; and Hajer, who kept our room spotless. Photographer Moemen also took a beautiful picture of us by the hotel's stunning doors. We're already arranging to return next year. Walking through those doors means another holiday full of joy and memories, and we can't wait.

Getting a drink at the bar meant waiting around 20 minutes for table service, even with four staff and only ten people to serve. I wasn't allowed to order and collect my own drinks. The beer arrived mostly foam, with barely a thimbleful of actual beer, and that happened every time. It felt like a way to limit how much guests could have, and save TUI money. The same restrictive attitude applied to food. There's a 24-hour snack bar, but every premade sandwich has tomato. I have an allergy, and when I asked for one without tomato, the answer was no. I also couldn't make a sandwich in the buffet and take it out, or take a croissant when leaving early for an excursion because no breakfast was provided. With one or two exceptions, staff seemed trained to keep people from accessing the all-inclusive items they'd paid for. This place felt more like bootcamp than a hotel, with an oppressive focus on restricting consumption.

The beach, atmosphere, and food all made for a great stay. The staff were friendly, good at their jobs, and checked in on guests. Iheb was fantastic, and Aarousia was amazing too. Gaith, Hedi, and Oussama were really great as well.
