Baya Beach Aqua Park Resort & Thalasso

The entertainers were wonderful, and the staff were friendly overall. We thought the hotel was good value. But there was a mix-up with the Tunisian restaurant reservation. We booked Saturday afternoon for Monday and were told Monday and Tuesday were full, so we accepted Wednesday since it was our last day. When we checked out at noon on Wednesday and confirmed the time, we were told the booking had been for Tuesday and nothing could be done. We missed the experience, which was very disappointing. WiFi was terrible too: there was none in the rooms, and only the bar had it in the Hacienda, with some other hotel areas lacking it as well.

I spent 10 days here and was fully satisfied. It’s a good 3-star hotel in Djerba, and I’d recommend it for a holiday with children. The food and drinks were good, and the rooms were clean, with good rooms and reasonable pools; the beach is close. The furniture is older, but that didn’t bother me much. My main drawbacks were having to pay for beach and pool towels, and also for the room fridge and safety box.

The animation team deserves 5 out of 5. Most of them put in extra effort, were friendly, and ran activities during the day. Room service gets 4 out of 5. The Hacienda restaurant’s food was 3 out of 5, but the main restaurant was a disaster, 0 out of 5: unfriendly staff, poor quality, burnt and oily food, rotten fruit, and leftover breakfast cakes served during the day. The bar service was also a mess, and the food was always the same. The facilities get 2 out of 5. The hotel needs renovation, though the pools are reasonable, the rooms are good, and it’s close to the beach. Overall, 3 out of 5.

The hotel is great, and the entertainers are amazing. They keep you smiling and entertained the whole time. I highly recommend staying here.
