The spa charges extra for the steam room, €10 for 20 minutes, and another €10 for just 20 minutes in the sauna. Only the indoor pool is included. They also give the impression they’re connected to the golf course across the road, but they aren’t. The discount is only 10% off an £80 round. We stayed in four different rooms, and none of the patio doors locked. The baths were stained copper color, sinks were cracked, and the phones didn’t work. Rooms had nothing in the minibar, and we got one bottle of water on the first night. After that, we had to buy it from the bar. The hotel is old, shabby, dim, and dated. Food arrived cold, so we had to use the small microwave at every meal. Tea and coffee were only available in the restaurant at breakfast. During the day you had to go inside to the bar and get it yourself, where hot water sat in a thermos flask. The cocktails were a joke. The piña colada had no pineapple and another drink had no chocolate. There were supposedly four alcoholic options, but only two were actually available, both tasted alike and were horrible. My friend paid for a mojito, but it had no mint and tasted just like the all-inclusive drinks. The animation team kept pestering guests to write reviews before departure, telling them to say the hotel and food were good. Don’t believe the positive reviews here, they’re all fake. Have a look, they’re all from “Local Guide.” There were only 34 guests while we were there, and there was nothing good about this place. For £40 more a week, you could stay at Mahri next door, which is a real hotel with proper service and lovely, clean decor. This has to be the worst all-inclusive hotel in the world. Avoid it at all costs.

There’s very little to do nearby beyond the beach, and no food is available during the day outside meal times. In the evenings, the entertainment team tries to get guests dancing or playing board games, but there doesn’t seem to be much else going on. The hotel feels worn and dated, more like a two-star place than a four-star one. The food was cold, and guests had to use a microwave in the dining room to warm it. Staff began clearing the food before the stated end of meal service, and water stations weren’t always available. The cocktails were awful. I’ve never stayed in a worse hotel. Don’t waste your money.

The kids had a great time with the entertainment, and the Animation team were brilliant throughout our stay. We had the best Christmas we’ve had in a long time and wished we could have stayed through New Year. We couldn’t have asked for more. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and will book again in April.

The hotel is just five minutes from the crocodile farm, which was a nice bonus. We’d be happy to come back. Our room was cleaned daily and the towels were changed. The food was excellent, with plenty of Italian dishes and always something Tunisian too. The beach had fine white sand, and there were enough sunbeds and umbrellas both there and at the pool. The water was clean and pleasantly warm in both places. There was evening entertainment for children and adults. The staff were kind and courteous, and surprisingly good-natured with small children.

The location, beach, and food were great, and the staff were friendly. We tipped them several times. Our old room was clean and quiet, which meant we slept well with our baby. Still, it felt more like a three-star hotel. It was good value, but next time I’d probably try another hotel on the island with better reviews. The entertainment was decent, though it was mostly aimed at Italians. If you’re not Italian, you might feel left out after a while. I didn’t mind. For the last three days, the beach was covered in seaweed, and there wasn’t anything they could do about it. We also had a few frustrating problems. Our room lost power for about 24 hours after we reported it. A cleaner had apparently messed up a switch, and it took a technician that long to arrive, even though we complained three times. The gym was a joke, even the basic dumbbells were unusable. Dishes and glasses were often dirty, and the Wi-Fi was unstable. It would’ve been nice to have proper Wi-Fi on the beach too.
