Iberostar Waves Mehari Djerba

The holiday worked out as a nice balance of outings and time to relax. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, and taxis are cheap and easy to find, though the trips sold by the reps seemed overpriced. Around the hotel itself there isn't much for an evening walk, just a few other hotels and no nearby town or village. The rooms are basic, and I couldn't find controls for the air conditioning or heating. We enjoyed the food and I definitely ate too much. There was lots of local choice, but it got repetitive after a few days, and nothing was labelled for allergens. I only have an N intolerance, so I could be careful, but dessert choices were basically ice cream or meringue when available. Our waiter Okba was lovely without hovering. The animation team was entertaining, especially for younger guests, although I wasn't comfortable with them insisting people write reviews while standing over them.

The meals were a real highlight during our four days at Iberostar Waves Mehari. There was plenty of variety, from local dishes to international favorites, and everything tasted fresh and was presented beautifully. You could tell the chefs cared about their work. We also found the hotel clean, comfortable, and well looked after, with an easygoing atmosphere. From arrival onward, the staff were warm, professional, attentive, and happy to help. We left very pleased with the stay and would recommend it for the service, food, and memorable vacation. Thanks to the team for making the trip special.

Our room was spacious and clean, and having a connecting room with our friends worked out great. The staff were so helpful and lovely, and there was a good choice of drinks. Food was great, freshly cooked right in front of you, and there were fun activities every day. Loved it here, would recommend coming.

I especially appreciated how leila handled my question about a particular Tunisian food. She arranged for it to be made and introduced me to the head chef so it could all be sorted out properly. That kind of care and pride in local cuisine really meant a lot. The restaurant team were attentive with a smile but never intrusive, and the food was delicious. Mohamed at the front desk was also consistently helpful and happy to chat. Everyone was warm from the moment we arrived, and the hospitality felt natural and sincere. Iberostar Méhari Djerba gave us a beautiful experience, and I'd gladly return and recommend it.
