The Ksar Djerba Charming Hotel & SPA

The staff were rather rude and didn't even smile, but the cleaning lady was polite and came to dry and clean up the water whenever we asked. The bathroom leaked whenever we used the bathtub. Our room itself was clean and nice. The pool was nice, the food was okay, and the location is attractive.

The food was good and delicious, and the restaurant staff were kind. Bar staff were cheerful and friendly too, especially Kerim and Ali at the swimming pool bar. The location was good. Housekeeping and cleaning get 7/10. The rest was poor. Without supervisors, nobody seemed to care about guests or help them, show them their rooms, or take their luggage. Maintenance gets 1/10, as the rooms smelled of water and the floor seemed to be full of it. Reception gets 0.5/10: unfriendly, with money apparently coming before guest comfort. The animators were loud and shouting, and sent guests to get beers and drinks. That gets 0.2/10. Overall hotel: 1/10.

I was disappointed by the service at this four-star hotel. Staff had very bad manners and weren't willing to accommodate my requests. I also noticed what seemed to be prejudice towards Libyans, which made the stay even less pleasant. That kind of treatment has no place in hospitality. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a respectful, enjoyable stay.

The pools were clean and well organized, with plenty of activities and sports to join. I had a great time with the friendly, helpful staff, especially the animation guys. The receptionists could smile a bit more when greeting people. I enjoyed my four nights there. The room was tidy, and the food was great with lots of variety. The quality felt fair for the price, so it was worth it.
