Vista Hotel Djerba

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the food was decent. The room matched its description. It was cleaned every day, and the towels were changed often. A greeting to the lovely receptionist Rania.

We spent three weeks at Zenon Hotel Djerba, and it was one of the best vacations we've had. The staff provided very good service, were helpful and friendly with the kids, and put on great entertainment. There was plenty of food to choose from, including a Tunisian night that let us try local dishes. The chefs were often nearby making sure everything was right, and the waiters were always close at hand. The location worked well for us. There were several small shops across the street, and Zenon's private beach was about a five-minute walk away by foot. A carriage was available to take you there too. Zenon Beach Club is by the beach. I'm not sure whether there's a daytime charge, but we had tea and a snack there after dinner one night, paid a reasonable price, and it was a lovely end to the day. It's a nice three-star hotel with some small flaws and a bit of maintenance needed, though those were easy to overlook. We really enjoyed the holiday, recommend the place, and can't wait to come back.

Security told me I couldn't stay on the beach, which is about five minutes from the hotel. I knew there was a beach club there, but it was clearly closed, and was scheduled to open at midnight. I was left with only a tiny stretch of sand near the club, while vendors were trying to sell camel rides. I wondered where this hotel's beach was, if it has one behind the property like the other hotels. The nearby beach is between two hotels, and security from this hotel approached me there. The other two had clearly marked private beach areas. It seems most beaches on the island are accessible only to hotel or resort guests. Why would guests walk five minutes to such a small beach if the hotel has its own beach behind it? Especially when its beach club isn't even open.

The beach is about a five-minute walk away, and there's a carriage to take you to the beach bar and bring you back whenever you want. I also enjoyed the animation and the crew, who were kind, friendly, and funny. I spent a week at Zenon hotel djerba and had one of the best experiences I've had. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was very good. The restaurant offered lots of food choices, and the chef was always around making sure everything was on point. I really enjoyed the holiday and recommend it.
