Monarque Club Rivage - VV

The way we were treated made the whole stay upsetting. Staff questioned our children about speaking Arabic, although they only speak English, and asked for a Tunisian ID even though we have American passports. It caused a lot of needless confusion and discomfort. Then my son accidentally broke a glass cup left in the hallway. The manager blamed him and told us to leave, without accepting responsibility for the hallway safety hazard. We found the conduct frustrating and unprofessional. I hope the hotel takes guest treatment seriously and makes changes.

We were there for only a couple of hours, and the room already had dust and stains on the bedding. Bathroom fittings were loose or leaking, and advertised amenities were missing or out of order. A glass cup had been left outside our door in the hallway, where small children could reach it. When it broke, staff blamed our kids instead of recognizing the hazard. Their replies felt dismissive, and management offered no timely fix or acceptable compensation. The stay felt unsafe and disrespectful. I wouldn't recommend this place to families or anyone expecting basic standards and accountability. It was a horrible, unprofessional experience.

The pools were clean, the entertainment was excellent, and the bar service was good. Thanks especially to the bar manager, who stayed calm and respectful when things got difficult. Sadly, those positives didn't make up for the rest of our experience at Club Rivage Monastir. The buffet had little variety and poor quality. At the restaurant, staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and we had to get up ourselves to ask for simple things like a spoon or water. A misunderstanding with security was followed by extremely rude treatment from the front desk manager, even after the hotel director intervened by phone. He showed no respect or professionalism, including toward his superior. We were shocked by the lack of empathy for our family, which includes two young children, one with mobility issues and one a toddler. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless serious improvements are made.

The kids had a great time at Monarque Club Rivage with Nina, our Polish animator. She's kind and helpful, and they always wanted to stay with her longer. The activities were really interesting too. Yesterday she did a cooking workshop with the kids, and the cookies came out delicious.
