The biggest problems were with upkeep and the restaurant. Our balcony wasn’t cleaned once during the week, and in the bathroom only the floor got cleaned. The shower drain didn’t work properly, so water rose to about 5 cm and had to be pushed toward the drain by hand to stop it spilling into the rest of the room. The carpeting looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in months. At mealtimes, there were queues for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we were often told to come back in 10-40 minutes. Finding a table was a struggle too, sometimes with people searching for seats while holding their plates. Tables were left with food scraps and staff didn’t clear them. There were good parts: the water slides were excellent, and service was very friendly and helpful. The beach security and lifeguards were dedicated, especially one lifeguard who kept checking that guests were comfortable, offered help, and always smiled. The food selection was broad enough for people to find something, even if it wasn’t groundbreaking. The shops weren’t where the offer said they’d be. Also, the bedside sockets sparked and seemed tied to the light switches, so plugging things in made the lights switch on and off. It felt like there was a risk of electric shock.

We loved the indoor pool and ended up spending time there every day. It’s warm enough for children who don’t like the cold, and both pools, including the outdoor one, were clean and well looked after. The outdoor water was a bit chilly for us, but it was a lovely place to sunbathe. The beach was amazing and very clean, with staff tidying it most days and getting mattresses ready on the sunbeds. The location is beautiful, with plenty to do at the hotel and nearby. The entertainment team ran activities through the day and evening, gave useful local advice, and the nighttime shows were a lot of fun. The atmosphere was good when the entertainers were around, though it might be livelier in summer. The hotel had only just reopened for the season on our arrival. Our room was very clean, nicely laid out, and a good standard. The bar staff took great care of us and were cheerful and helpful. The main letdown was food: there wasn’t much choice, many nights felt the same, and there wasn’t much for children, so we ate out locally. The advertised water park was closed when we visited and didn’t look likely to open soon. The spa had also been closed for a while, and staff said it wasn’t going to reopen.

The reception team were the worst part of our stay and the reason we won’t return. They made a mistake, refused to believe us, and treated us badly in front of other people. Even after we proved we hadn’t done anything wrong, they apologised but had already locked us out of our rooms and ruined the last two days of our holiday. There were some good things: the pool was lovely, and the beach access was great. The hotel looks really nice from outside and in reception, but don’t be fooled. The little shop was lovely, and its staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant, bar, and pool staff were also good and friendly. The food tasted nice but was often unavailable, and drink choices were limited. My room was outdated and had a bathtub but no shower curtain or wall-mounted shower, just the shower head. The entertainment wasn’t great. The indoor pool and massage place were both closed, even though the massage place was the main reason we chose the hotel. The toilets were dirty, didn’t lock, and often ran out of paper. I wouldn’t recommend the place and definitely won’t be back.

We had everything we needed for a trip with family or friends. The hotel is big, with welcoming staff, clean and comfortable spacious rooms, a large pool, a kids’ corner, and slides. The food was a highlight for us too. Best of all, it’s right on the beach. The beach is long, sandy, and amazing, with free hotel sunbeds and activities like jet skiing.
