Le Monaco Hôtel & Thalasso

The hot water didn't work, so we couldn't have the hot shower we wanted after a long day of travel. Cleanliness was the biggest problem: stained sheets, a sticky carpet, and a room that clearly hadn't been properly cleaned before we arrived. The lack of basic cleanliness and working amenities made the stay uncomfortable and frustrating from start to finish. A complete letdown, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

July 2025 🇬🇧 This isn't a holiday hotel 😥 There were cockroaches, and the rooms, pool, and reception were dirty. The beach was dirty too, with old sunbeds and umbrellas. There was no help, and you had to drag your own bed yourself. Breakfast came from the bar next door. The dirty tray was left uncovered for cockroaches and flies to feed on. I'm not making this up. The staff know about it and don't care 🥲 I've seen some photos, but the hotel now doesn't look like those photos. They're very old.

I don't know how this place has four stars, because it definitely wasn't worth the money. The rooms weren't clean, breakfast was poor, and the toilet door lock was broken. At check-in, reception said there was a pool and a gym, but we found out the next day that both were out of service. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, barely 2 Mbps. A very bad experience.

The room lady was really helpful and friendly, and the place was clean and comfortable, though it could do with some modernising. It's right on the beach, with a nice outlook, and the location is great. Nights get a bit noisy because of the bars downstairs. The corridor is a little daunting in the dark, since the light only comes on when you get near the lift.
