TUI BLUE Scheherazade - adults only (+ 16 ans)

Christmas Eve was a highlight: the hotel set up a market with drinks and snacks made from typical local produce, followed by a cocktail party with alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. Christmas dinner had the biggest selection of starters, mains and desserts I’ve ever seen. Afterward we watched the Christmas show and ended the evening dancing. It was lovely seeing guests from different countries and religions getting along so well. We arrived on 16th December shortly before dinner service ended. The manager sat us down and brought a delicious buffet selection, including roasted quail, salads, seafood canapés and desserts. We unpacked, freshened up, then went back for the evening entertainment and drinks. The staff were brilliant throughout, from bar and restaurant service to room service, and we never had to ask for anything. Food quality was outstanding, with a wide range of choices every day, probably the best we’ve had at any TUI hotel. Sousse is well placed between the northern and southern Tunisian tourist highlights. When we left on the 26th, the porter gave excellent service, collecting our cases, overseeing the transport and loading them into the vehicle. Amazing hotel, great food and drink, friendly staff and a great location.

The economy room listing on Booking said it had a “garden view,” but there wasn’t really a view at all. That was a small inconvenience, and otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at TUI BLUE Scheherazade. It’s a great adults-only all-inclusive. What stood out most was the staff: they were kind, smiling, seemed to enjoy their work and listened attentively to guests. It made the whole place feel welcoming.

The beach and gardens were cleaned every day, and the hotel itself was clean too. The food was great, but what really made the place was its wonderful atmosphere and attentive staff who made us feel welcome.

I stayed for a week in April 2026 and was really pleased with what I got for the price. I’ve been to several all-inclusive hotels, and this one was very satisfying for both value and overall quality. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was extremely kind. The rooms were a little small, but the adults-only setting was quiet and had a nice atmosphere. Most guests seemed to be British, French or German, mainly middle-aged or older Europeans. Service matters most to me when choosing a hotel. A great facility can’t make up for poor treatment, and I’d read reviews of other places where staff seemed to expect tips, were unhelpful with problems, or acted inappropriately toward women. Here I felt comfortable throughout. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, attentive to small requests, and tried to resolve issues. Staff were polite and well presented, with no sense that they expected tips. The contrast with outside was striking. There was quite a bit of rubbish around once I left the hotel, and the beach was rather dirty. Inside, everything was spotless, with well-kept gardens and facilities. After windy, rainy nights blew sand and debris around, the pool and gardens were clean again by morning. I once got up at 6am and saw staff already clearing sand, rainwater and rubbish from the beach. The little things were handled thoughtfully. Staff came over to sunbeds to ask if we needed anything, and quickly brought cushions for the poolside loungers. When our 2pm flight was delayed until 6pm, we could still have lunch and use drinks and sunbeds after checking out, until it was time to leave. The weather had been poor, so that gave us a few dreamy hours in the sun on our last day. Our flight arrived at 10pm. Dinner service had ended, but they brought salad and bread to the room, where there was also a welcome bottle of wine and fruit. Water was delivered daily. One day, after a disappointing meal while sightseeing, we returned hungry just before the poolside restaurant closed at 4pm. We got there at 3:50pm, and the staff still made us a fresh, delicious pizza. It isn’t an ultra-luxury hotel, but the food, service and facilities made it excellent value for money. I’d definitely return.
