The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. The location is great.

The rooms are spacious, and this is one of the cheapest hotels in Tatouine, but it sits out on the outskirts. The bathroom was small, run-down, and dirty. We woke up covered in bites, so there really were bed bugs in the bed. There was already another review mentioning them. When we asked the receptionist, she denied it. Avoid this place completely.

The room looked nice and the hotel seemed clean at first, but there was no hygiene at all. Cockroaches and bedbugs were in the room and mattresses. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

The room was clean, the staff professional, and the price was very good for what you get. I highly recommend it.

Hotel Amilcar is on the road to Cité Mahrajen in Tataouine, close to the public swimming pool and Najib Elkhatab stadium. It offers free Wi-Fi and a restaurant, with reception open around the clock. The service is a bit limited, though the staff are friendly, and it's a budget place.
