The location works well, on the main street and about a 10-minute walk from the train station and Medina. There isn’t much of a view, though. I’ve been to Tunisia before and found smoking common in shared areas, but the air in this hotel was good and I didn’t notice smoke. I came back after staying here two years ago, this time with a friend for two nights, because I’d liked it then. The room was clean, comfortable, and nice, with good towels, a hairdryer, and shampoo. Breakfast had a good range, and reception staff were kind and helpful. The Porter at the door never seemed to smile, though, and only rarely opened the door for guests. There wasn’t a kettle in the room, but when we asked, they brought one. It costs a little more than nearby hotels, but I think it’s worth it for a clean place with good standards. I’d stay again when I return to Tunisi.

The front desk staff are welcoming, and breakfast is simple but reasonable. My room was clean and small, yet comfortable, except for getting bitten by mosquitoes each night. It’s a very good hotel in central Tunis, handy for both the Medina and Avenue Habib Bourguiba.

The room felt cramped, with the toilet facing a wall at an uncomfortably close distance, as the photo shows. The shower floor was discolored too, and breakfast didn’t offer much variety. It was an above-average stay, but I’d spend another 30-40 TND to stay at the Carlton instead.

The staff are friendly, but I wouldn’t consider this a safe place to leave a car. A homeless man stays out front, and the reviewer says he may harm you or your car if you don’t give him money. Be aware of what’s around the hotel.

The location is hard to beat, and the staff were pleasant. Breakfast was excellent, and there was no noise from the street. Our room itself was fine, although it was right below the breakfast room and the sound of chairs scraping started at 06:00. The advertised hotel restaurant also seems to be permanently closed.
