Maia Hotel Suites

It's a quiet, small hotel in a very good location and good value for the money. They are very strict about how many people can stay, even little kids. Once that was sorted and we got a bigger room, everything was fine. There was no iron in the room. I asked the receptionist for one, but it still wasn't delivered. Shoutout to security personnel Faisal, who was very helpful and professional throughout my stay.

Everything else about the hotel was good, but I spent six nights on the 4th floor, where the heater generator is. Loud bangs woke me around 3:00 every night and frightened me. I complained twice, but the lady at reception moved me only from room 406 to 402, still on the same floor, so the problem wasn't fixed. On my departure night, I asked Mr Atif why I'd been moved within the same floor. He said they didn't have the same room category, a standard room, and had moved me to a suite, but it was still on the 4th floor. I told him clearly that he was now offering me a room on the nd floor, and that online bookings showed rooms available since morning. His colleague could have moved me to one of those instead of making me suffer through even the last night. I was willing to pay extra because all I needed was sleep and rest. I hope the manager looks into this. Very poor service recovery.

Breakfast is good, though prices are a little high and there are NO Tunisian restaurants nearby. It's a small, very clean hotel with friendly staff and quick service. Special thanks to Atif for making check-in completely smooth.

I've stayed here several times, and each visit has been good. The place is clean and well kept, just like the photos, and the staff are friendly. It's also easy to get around from here, with the airport close by and the hotel right in the heart of the city.
