Mondial Hotel

I had a really unpleasant stay. The rooms were dirty, the bathroom was intolerable, and stains were visible on the bed linens. The suite was far below the standard I expected, and I found the location inconvenient. Staff interactions also felt poor and dishonest. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Breakfast is in a room where people smoke freely, which was shocking. The omelet was very good, but you have to pay extra for it, as it isn't part of the breakfast price. There was nothing luxurious about the stay. The "Brazil" room was in catastrophic condition. You can see the wall in the photo, and the towels and sheets weren't clean. The receptionist did quickly give me clean replacements. The location worked well for our need to be at Place Kasbah in the morning for some business.

The price didn't feel justified, both because of the season and because the place simply isn't worth that much. There's no parking, either. I'm furious about what happened when I arrived. I had booked by phone, but they heard my Algerian accent and immediately told me the hotel was full, even though the key box at reception was completely full.

The restaurant was filthy, with flies and cats all over the food and tables. At night, stray dogs made the area around the hotel feel unsafe. The place is very basic, has no elevator, and doesn't deserve its star rating. Nobody even brought our luggage up. We had to carry our bags to the second floor ourselves. Some rooms have old air conditioning that doesn't work, and the bedding, blankets, curtains, and the whole place felt damp. Maybe it suits people looking for a cheap stay who don't mind these things.
