Coastline Hotel

For the price, the room was a letdown. It had plenty of space, but was extremely bare: a few empty cups, with no coffee, sugar, or even spoons. Breakfast was just two slices of plain bread, not toasted, with cold ham, egg, and tomato sauce. They only took cash, which could be a hassle or a concern if you don’t carry any or have your bank card with you. I wouldn’t stay again. It wasn’t worth the money.

The location was a real plus, just a 3min walk from the wharf, and staff got my room ready extremely quickly. I had a great night. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a fridge, kettle, toiletries, and other bits. The shower had no door, but that didn’t bother me much. I paid 220top for the night.

The room cleanliness was awful. It looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in years, with just the sheets changed. There was still urine in the toilet from previous guests, which was disgusting. Service was good, and the location works well if you’re catching the ferry.

The location is handy for the ferry, restaurants, and groceries, and there’s a fridge in the room. They provide cups and tea, but no kettle. There’s very little parking, and the no-alcohol rule should be advertised because we were put off when we arrived. The rooms are dated and need cleaning, especially the bathroom. Booking sites call it 5 star, but it’s nowhere near that. It’s okay for 240top a night.
