Büyükada Comfort Hotel

We had a lovely three-night stay. The location was awesome, and both the manager and staff were very nice to guests.

Terrible value for money. The rooms are tiny, the plumbing leaks, and breakfast is poor, with too few eggs for everyone who paid for it. They also ask for 200 lira extra for coffee, served in a dirty glass.

The sea view was beautiful and the location was great. Our room was clean, the manager was nice, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was good and the stay comfortable.

The booking couldn't be refunded, but I wouldn't stay there again even for free, or if they paid me. I've slept in some sketchy places throughout Less Developed Nations, but this was by far the filthiest. The entrance was covered in debris, as if it hadn't been swept in a month, and cigarette smoke filled the lobby. Our room floor had big and small bits of dirt on it. Under the bedding we found several hairs and crumbs on the sheets, pillows, and duvet. The shower was moldy all over and had a clear dirty shoe print. There was a used, crumpled tissue in the wardrobe. The chair had no cushion, which we found outside on the balcony, covered in funk. The balcony itself looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks, and the room smelled funky. The man at reception offered to change the sheets and clean the floor, but by then I had no faith in their cleanliness standards. I can't understand how anyone could be comfortable having paying guests in such a dirty place. We found a lovely, cute room down the road for just $1usd more than we paid here. What a waste of money.
