Kalamari pansiyon

We were there July 12th to 15th. The room was small, but the room and the linens and towels smelled clean when we arrived. Staff were courteous, the room was cleaned during our stay, and the linens were changed. I missed having a closet, which I think is useful in summer. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on it. The location is very central. The only drawback was being right next to the carriages, whose announcements start around 10-10:30 a.m. We could hear them, though it didn’t bother us much. The hotel entrance smelled strongly of dung, but the smell went away once inside.

The room was filthy, with clumps of lint across the floor, and the bathroom and toilet were so tiny they were barely usable. The sewage smell was awful. Even the air conditioner brought the stink back as soon as I switched it on or off. The only small relief was that the air felt a bit cool. I came with my 2-year-old baby, and there should be a clear warning during booking that this place is absolutely unsuitable for babies or children. I’ve never stayed somewhere worse. Paying 280 lira on Saturday to be humiliated, lose sleep from the manure smell, and hear the horses and their owners was miserable.

The cleanliness and care here are very poor, and the hotel manager seems to have other agendas. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel, or any of the manager’s other hostels. It might be the worst hostel on the island.

A filthy pension with disgusting service. It was a complete disgrace. Definitely avoid it.
