The pier is right nearby, which made the location both convenient and really charming. If you miss the last ferry to the mainland, this is a great place to stay. The host was welcoming and lovely, always smiling. Our room wasn't quite like the photo, but it was still nice, and the price was good for what we got.

I ended up leaving for another hotel after trying to sort out a second night. I'd booked one night and hoped to extend, but the receptionist quoted a very high rate because it was Jummah (Friday), far above the price on Agoda. I thought booking directly would be easier, but the staff kept changing the price without explaining why, which left me confused and frustrated. I then tried to book again through Agoda. It showed availability, but the booking wouldn't go through, no matter how many times I tried. At first I thought my card was the problem, but I successfully booked another hotel on Agoda, so it wasn't. The staff were also impolite and unwelcoming, and they made little effort to help. They don't speak English. A very disappointing experience. Avoid this place.

The one bright spot was Ola the maid, who behaved well. I'd booked a specific room on Agoda and was given a different one. The rooms and showers were tiny, and when I explained the mix-up, nobody helped. The walls and doors were thin, so noise carried through. I paid $75 per night, and I didn't stay the second night. A poor experience for me.

The best part was the view of the sea from our top-floor room. The room itself had a low, sloping ceiling that was part of the roof, and I hit my head on it several times. The bath was extremely small and nearly falling apart; I had to struggle with the door just to close it. The building is very old and needs more upkeep. The hair dryer didn't work, though they did bring us a replacement the next day.
