No16 Ada

Coming back after long walks around the islands and falling asleep in that comfortable bed beneath the high ceilings was such a treat. The room and bathroom felt fresh, even in an old building, and the vintage furniture suited the place so well. İsmail and Özlem look after the house with a lot of care, which must take hard work. They’re kind, welcoming, softhearted hosts, and the whole stay felt comfortable and homey. The view from our room was perfect. Breakfast was lovely, especially Özlem’s cakes, and the coffee was delicious too. I’m already looking forward to coming back to this Historical Maison.

Dinner on our private balcony, with views over the island, the sea, and Istanbul, was a highlight. We ordered room service after checking in and had a great meal. The rooms were roomy and clean, and breakfast was really good too. The place is beautiful and full of thoughtful details, and the host family took care of everything we needed. We had a fantastic time on the island thanks to this hotel. I’d definitely return, 10 out of 10.

I had dinner in the garden, and the food from Özlem’s kitchen was delicious, as was the wine. Kahvaltı was plentiful and quite good. Breakfast starts a bit late for an early riser like me, so I went for a walk and had my first coffee elsewhere, then came back to eat. The mansion sits at the quiet end of an avenue lined with lovely historic houses and sea views. Inside, it’s filled with beautiful antiques and has an old-time feel. My room was small, as you’d expect in an old mansion, but clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the sea and sunrise. Özlem and İsmail are delightful, kind hosts who clearly enjoy welcoming guests. Thanks for a lovely stay. :)
