The Roof ADA

Music blared through the walls even after a staff member tried to help by moving us to another room. We were told it plays every day from 9AM-11PM without a break, and none of the rooms are soundproofed. Our first room was right below the pool, where the obnoxiously loud music carried across the whole area. The so-called beach was even louder. We booked two nights, but the experience was so unbearable we couldn't stay even one night. The hotel doesn't refund bookings, so we got no compensation for leaving. The WiFi also didn't work, and they tried to get a lot of personal information from us. This island off Istanbul is beautiful and well-loved, and the location has real potential, but The Roof ADA and its relentless noise ruined our time on Büyükada. Don't come here if you want a quiet, peaceful beach holiday.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Roof Ada. The staff made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Mr. Eren and Mr. Alp were especially helpful and polite, always going out of their way with a smile. My newly refurbished room was spotless and comfortable, and waking up to its breathtaking, uninterrupted sea view was a real treat. Breakfast was another highlight, with fresh, tasty food and plenty of choices, whether you wanted something light or filling. The beach setting is beautiful, but the sunbed furniture could use an upgrade, and there was quite a bit of moss in the sea during my stay. Cleaning it up a bit would make the area more enjoyable. The atmosphere, service, and views made for a lovely and memorable stay. I'd definitely recommend it.

The pool, views, location, and the beautiful Princess Islands were all great. We stayed for two nights and liked the hotel itself, but the service was below zero. Staff behavior was rude at times.

The pool was cold, there was garbage in the sea, and the rooms had cobwebs. The sea-view rooms also had no lighting in the area after dark. Dinner orders were only available at 19:30, and half the items were missing. Breakfast was at 9:00, and before then they wouldn't let us into the reception and pool area at all, since the door stayed locked. The paths had badly damaged paving that made our feet slip, and the stairs to the sea were covered in algae. Couldn't they clean them?
