Cukurova Park Hotel

The restaurant staff member yusuf was kind and professional. That was the one bright spot in a stay that kept us from enjoying Adana, which is a beautiful city. We booked three nights and I barely slept more than a few hours. The room was dirty and dim, the lighting strained my eyes, the ventilation was awful, and the walls felt damp. The mattress was badly worn and left me sleeping with my back bent. The bed smelled terrible, and the sheet was torn and filthy. We bought our own mattress cover because we couldn't bring ourselves to lie on it. The old, hard pillows made our necks stiff, and I caught a bad cold because I couldn't use the filthy blanket. Breakfast was the worst I've ever had. The boiled eggs were so overcooked their yolks had turned green. The vegetables weren't fresh, and the uncovered cheese had gone dry and rubbery. My husband had food poisoning and severe diarrhea for two days. I can't say whether it came from unwashed vegetables or expired milk. The hotel is in a noisy neighborhood, with cars honking until dawn. On our last night, we also heard continuous gunfire late at night. I keep wondering whether the owner would sleep in that bed himself, yet expects guests to do so. Please don't waste a cent here. This place doesn't deserve one star, and I don't know how it was ever classified as a four-star hotel.
