Lara Family Star Hotel

This felt like a three-star hotel, not a five-star one, and I wouldn’t recommend it to English-speaking travelers. Most guests were Russian, and it was hard to communicate with many staff members. After a while, you just give up trying to explain. Customer service, especially in the restaurant, was awful, possibly because of the language barrier. A couple of people at reception did help, including Isa. Hygiene didn’t seem to be a priority. We expected fresh towels and bedding regularly, but used towels were simply folded and put back. We had to complain many times. It’s kid-friendly to a point, with good shows, a kids’ club and play area, and a kids’ pool, but the food wasn’t kid-friendly at all. My child didn’t like or eat any of it. The food was repetitive and mediocre, and I got tired of it. You had to arrive early to get anything decent, since refills happened at random, and the seating area wasn’t big enough. There was a wide dessert selection, though. The shuttle to Lara beach ran often, and we enjoyed the beach and its facilities. The entertainment shows were good, and the team brought lots of fun and energy. I still wouldn’t go again.
