Misafir Suites 8 Istanbul Hotel

The soundproofing was almost perfect, the room had interesting decor, and they took care with the bed each day. Even the towel shaped like a swan surprised us. The sofa bed, though, wasn't very comfortable. We already knew our room's view wasn't anything special, so that was okay, but the breakfast area had the kind of Istanbul view you imagine. The selection was limited, and breakfast wasn't this place's strong point in my opinion. The location is absolutely perfect, very close to ISTIKLAL and Taxim square.

We spent most days exploring Istanbul and used the room mainly to sleep, which it served well for. It was comfortable for a couple, cleaned daily, and came with fresh towels. The mattresses were comfortable, though the bed felt a little small. The blanket wasn't big enough for two, but staff quickly brought us another one. Breakfast had a decent range of quality food, enjoyable but nothing special, and the view from the restaurant was beautiful. The hotel's historic details along the corridor walls added charm. The central location was excellent, and we had a pleasant stay with nothing major to complain about. Still, since the hotel presents itself as four-star, I'd rate it by that standard. Having stayed in many four-star hotels, this felt more like a good three-star by EU expectations. The AC was a bit noisy, and sound insulation could be better. The balcony handle and bathroom lock were broken, and the room could use minor repairs and fresh paint. These were small issues, not deal-breakers, and the hotel didn't take away from our trip.

Ahmed at reception made us feel welcome right away. He was professional, kind, always smiling, and went out of his way to understand what we needed and help. Sevim, the housekeeper, was just as wonderful, cheerful and caring, and took real pride in her work. Everything was always spotless thanks to her. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the lively surroundings and location close to everything made the stay even better. The whole staff made this a fantastic experience. I'd happily come back and recommend the hotel.

The housekeeping was so polite and honest, especially Jeylan. That gave us confidence to go out without worrying about anything going missing. The rooms were tidy and very clean, and Jeylan's service was lovely. The hotel is in a spectacular, touristy area with everything around. I recommend staying here, and we'll definitely return to the same place.
