Hypnos Design Hotel

Our balcony room looked out toward Ayasofya, and the included Turkish breakfast was divine. The staff were accommodating and helpful. The location was memorable too, about a block from the T1 Tramway Station at Gülhane stop and two blocks from Gülhane Park.

Our first room had a broken AC, but staff moved us to one where it worked. They were kind and helped us with street parking right in front of the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were fine, and there was a minibar. It's a nice hotel in the heart of Istanbul, though the building and furniture are a bit old. Breakfast was limited, basically a small Turkish spread with eggs, cheese, olives, bread, honey, butter and a few creamy sides.

A small boutique style hotel, so it won't suit anyone looking for a big, fancy place. We loved it: the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the old town location was great, yet nights were quiet. Staff were so friendly, always smiling and ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the woman making it was lovely. Everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. We're thinking of coming again in April. Thanks for everything! 😊🥰

The rooms are small, so there may not be space for big suitcases or lots of luggage. Bathrooms are compact in that very European style, though updated and really clean. Each room has its own theme, and they were comfortable for one or two people. I booked at the very last minute on my flight from Dubai to Istanbul and was lucky to get a room. The hotel was a really pleasant surprise. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the central location put us near the Blue Mosque and Hagya Sophia. The train stop and everything else were within walking distance. This was much better than the big brand locations.
