The bathroom was incredibly dirty, there was rubbish behind the fridge, and even the toilet hadn't been cleaned. The room was tiny. We booked for two nights as a convenient place just to sleep, and had paid a one-night deposit a week earlier. A tired young man met us with our bags and wouldn't let us into the room without the rest of the payment, barely saying hello. It felt like he'd been told to behave that way. When I objected, the woman I took to be the owner said, "You can leave." We were too exhausted to find somewhere else, so we stayed, but hated every moment. The central location might suit some people. With a little more research, you could find somewhere much cleaner and more decent for the same price or a bit more.

Comfortable, cosy, and friendly. The beach is 50 meters away, and Azmak and the forest campsite are each 100 meters away.

The mini-fridge and TV worked, and the air conditioner ran, but it was so dusty and long overdue for cleaning and maintenance that the dust barely moved. The room was a disaster for hygiene. The bathroom was filthy from previous guests, as if proper cleaning products hadn't been used for a year. There was even snot stuck to the wall. The sheer curtain was so black that water would make mud drip off it. I was careful not to touch anything because of the germs. I think they only change the sheets when guests leave, and at least those let me endure the room, hunched over, until morning. We found this hotel on the way to Akyaka after our planned hotel was full. We got a quote and booked one night for 1500 lira. The location is excellent, right in the center, but if I'd seen the room first, we never would have chosen it. We tried to stay out as long as possible on our last vacation day and only came back to sleep. I took photos to back up what I'm saying, and now I want to forget this hotel. They should be ashamed to rent rooms like this. At Sinekli Bakkal, please show people some respect, even if you're counting the cash right there, for the sake of the 5 or 6 books lined up behind you.
