Hamle Hotel

We booked Hamle Hotel through Hotel Z and had some trouble because of unprofessional staff. Ms. Canan, our hotel manager, was kind, patient, understanding, pleasant, and very professional. She gave us the treats we needed and made everything easier, which meant a lot as we were on our honeymoon. The pool is beautiful, among the best in Akyaka. You can swim without goggles without your eyes hurting or being overwhelmed by chlorine. After a swim in the sea, it feels especially relaxing to get into this pool. I normally never swim in a pool without goggles, but I could here. The hotel still has plenty to improve, and they're open to development, but it's a place worth trying and giving a chance. I've stayed here twice, in 2019 and 2020. The staff are very nice, there's a pool, and breakfast is great. Rooms are cleaned once every three days, but with the modest price and easy access to the town centre and restaurants, that's a minor inconvenience.

I come back every time I'm here to kite. For walking to the kite spot, this is as close as you can get, though it still takes 20+ minutes. You have to cross the river and pass lots of garbage left behind by tourists. The hotel has what I need: it's quiet, has a small pool, and serves Turkish breakfast with eggs, cheese, vegetables, and sweets.

At checkout they gave us gifts. The first room was a bad back room, with old furniture, no sea view, and nowhere well organized to put our luggage. The next day they moved us to a refurnished room with a pool view. Internet didn't work in our part of the hotel, but the replacement room was near the reception Wi-Fi, which did work. The hotel is a little far from the sea and shops. The staff are young and have little experience. Nobody was at reception when we arrived, and it took ages to get someone on the phone. There's a small, old 15-inch TV.
