We chose this hotel because it was near the Dental Clinic, but our two-night stay was deeply disappointing. The first room we saw, on the 3rd floor, was shockingly dirty: muddy footprints on the carpet, an unacceptable bathroom, sheets that looked unwashed, mold on the walls, dirty curtains, and an unclean kettle. We asked reception whether all the rooms were like that. They gave us keys to see rooms on the second and first floors, and both had the same widespread cleanliness problems. We said we couldn’t stay because of the extreme lack of hygiene. The owner was offended and insisted on keeping 50% of the payment, returning only 1000 Turkish Lira in cash. In my view, the sanitation problems pose a health risk and make this hotel unfit to list. The location is very good, but please avoid it!

The rooms are dated, but that didn’t bother me. It’s a cheap place in a peaceful location, with staff who were super helpful. I even got coffee and fresh juice as a treat. The mountain views from the roof were the best I’ve ever seen.

The owner, Hasan Bey, was wonderful and gave us suggestions for things to do and places to eat so we could try truly local food. Sunrise Hotel is good value, right in the center of the old city. It has a lovely terrace with great views, tasty breakfasts, and parking for your car.

I stayed here two years ago, and it was a good, basic place. The morning host was really nice and helpful. I still remember one young guy at reception at night, though, who was rude.

The owner was a wonderful person, easy to talk to and ready to help sort out any problems. I’d like to return. The hotel is in the heart of the old town, and the view from it is incredible, one of the most beautiful in Turkey. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were simple but clean and comfortable.
