Arabella World Hotel

We had a good location, and the hotel itself wasn't too bad, but I'd think twice before booking again. Three of us got food poisoning on different days, and we hadn't eaten anywhere outside the hotel. Some reception staff were lovely, while others were awful and rude. I took clothes to be ironed and never got them back done, they were left on the floor like trash. The pool had a strange smell, so I'd avoid using it.

The pool was a decent size and the slides gave the kids some fun. We also had a good experience with the Hammam, which was run by a separate, professional and friendly team. The rest of our four-night stay at Arabella World Hotel in July was extremely disappointing for a four-star hotel. Our food choices were limited, and I found the quality and hygiene poor. The sheets and towels weren't changed once during the stay. I had to hunt down a housekeeping trolley just to get clean towels. The air conditioning was faulty in the middle of summer. I reported it several times, but nothing was fixed. Staff only responded after I asked three or four times, and still there was no urgency or follow-up. Communication was difficult because most staff spoke only Turkish. Beyond the language issue, they generally seemed uninterested and unwilling to help, with little sense of hospitality or customer care. By any standard, I don't think this hotel deserves four stars, and I wouldn't recommend it to future travellers.

The beach is part of the hotel and has food and drinks available there. We had a great holiday in Avsallar, with clean rooms, excellent room service, and a balcony overlooking the sea. The food was especially good, with salads, sweets, meatballs, fruit, soups and more. I'd recommend it for families with children. The animators around the pool were particularly good, and there were evening poolside events that the kids enjoyed. Thanks to Murat, the long-haired animator, for the T-shirt I ordered for my daughter, with her name and unicorn designs on it. It cost 15€.

I nearly switched hotels after reading the reviews, but I'm glad I stayed. We had a great time and I'd book here again. It may come down to personal preference, because I found the hotel clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly, smiling through long working days and doing their best to help. Check-in went smoothly, and the cleaners came in regularly and made nice designs on the beds. The beach was lovely, about five minutes away, and the sea was amazing. We were in the pool a lot too, it was clean and refreshing in the heat. We also enjoyed walks around town. The food was tasty and there was plenty of it, though I felt it was much the same each day. I'd have liked a few more English dishes, but the food was good. Evening entertainment could have had more variety, and the children's program starting at 9 pm could begin a little earlier.
