Delphin Botanik Hotel

We had a great family holiday here in 2012. The sea was warm and pleasant, and the food was excellent. The hotel was full of plants from all over the world, which made it feel like a paradise. Krystyna, the guest relations representative, was always helpful, and the rest of the staff were helpful too. The rooms weren't very spacious, but they were spotlessly clean. Highly recommend it.

The resort felt like a botanical garden, full of trees and shrubs, with even little houses for the cats. Our room was on the small side, but the bed was comfortable. I especially liked the adults-only pool, with no kids or music, which was a peaceful place to unwind. There's so much to do here. The place is huge, with lots of pools and activities. A beautiful garden patio hosted yoga and Pilates each morning, then Zumba and step aerobics in the afternoon. My boyfriend played beach volleyball every day, so we both had ways to stay active. We enjoyed the food, especially at the a la carte restaurants, which were free but needed to be booked a day in advance. There were plenty of snack bars too. The alcoholic drinks weren't very good, though the water was great and plentiful, and the wine tasted better at the a la carte restaurant. Staff were friendly and kept offering us something to eat or drink. We spent a week here with my boyfriend, and it was a treat.

It's big, green and has everything. The beach is rocky, by the way, and not sandy. Remember to reserve dinner at the a la carte restaurants, since they're included in the price.

The area was crowded, the pools felt too small for the number of guests, and the balcony view was ugly. It took 2.5 hours by bus to get there. It's an ugly hotel, so don't expect much. Next time I'll go to la blanche resort in Bodrum. It has a five-star design and a view, sits on an island, costs the same, and is only 20 minutes from Bodrum airport.
