Eftalia Splash Resort — All inclusive

There was a lot for the kids to enjoy, and the children’s entertainer was brilliant with them. The adult entertainment was decent, though the kids’ dance repeated the same songs each day. The water features and slides were fun, but crowded while open. The pools themselves were clean and looked after, just very small for the number of guests. It was more pleasant late in the afternoon when things quieted down. The area gets slippery, so suitable footwear is a good idea. The resort’s location was a drawback for us. It’s a couple of hours by coach from the airport, and the nearby beaches aren’t especially nice. One end is sandy, while the rest is rough and uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. We enjoyed Turkey and had fun on the Jeep Safari and Pirate Ship excursion, but next time we’ll look for somewhere with less travel involved. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The lobby and check-in area felt welcoming, and outdoor spaces were cleaned every day. Our room was fairly clean but worn. The shower edges were tired, the showerhead was broken and needed replacing, and the hot water was unreliable. Cold showers don’t bother us much. We also skipped paying extra for the safe and iron because we thought those should come with an all-inclusive stay. Breakfast was a letdown, mostly processed food. I had a couple of boiled eggs, which worked for me since I don’t usually eat breakfast at home. Lunch and dinner had better, healthier choices, but the chicken was always dry and chewy and the food generally lacked flavour. There was extra seasoning, and we often ate out instead. Pool bar snacks were a little better. The drinks selection was limited unless you paid more, and many choices were too sugary. We mostly stuck to water or tea from the BurgerBar. The tea at the resort was especially unpleasant, often brewed so long it turned bitter and astringent. After we got home, the first thing we did was make a proper cup of tea. For the first couple of days, there was a sewage-like smell outside. I suspect it came from a nearby treatment facility, and when the wind changed, the smell seemed to drift toward the hotel. Luckily it was fine for the rest of the week.

The staff put in a lot of effort to keep everyone happy, and we had everything we needed at Eftalia Splash Resort. We enjoyed the cocktails and found the food selection good. Great value for money, and we really enjoyed our stay!

We’d happily return to Eftalia Splash Resort. The water park was a highlight, and the food was tasty every day. Staff were friendly and ready to help. It worked really well for families and couples, and we had an amazing holiday!

The evening shows were a lot of fun, and there were plenty of activities during the day too. Our room was clean, the pools were great, and we had such a good time at Eftalia Splash Resort. I’d recommend it for a sunny break!
