The best part was leaving, knowing we'll never come back. The only good thing about this hotel is that it's right across from the beach. Online photos show a snooker table and swimming pool that aren't there, and the pictures are of Turkish people rather than holidaymakers. The kitchen looked like a mortuary when I glanced in as I walked past. We were never offered a chance to use the restaurant, even though a sign says you have to buy meals there. You're also told not to bring food back, which feels like a way to make you spend more. We stayed for two weeks, and it was the worst hotel either of us has been in. There's no entertainment or nightlife, nothing going on. Both of us became seriously ill, which we put down to breakfast: basically boiled eggs and salad, without even a toaster. On arrival they charged us almost £100 extra for air conditioning, which was in heat mode because the rooms were freezing cold. Every day when we left, Turkish people sat around in silence, like we were at a wake. Staff didn't even say hello or good morning. Pulling the key card out of the wall when you leave cuts power to everything, including the fridge, so expect to return to a wet floor. The cleaners did a great job and always left fresh bedding, although they never changed the blanket or duvet. The shower drain smelled awful, so we bought bleach and drain unblocker at the local Carrefour. The downstairs lobby also reeked of cat urine every time we arrived or left. There's a lift, but wheelchair users have to climb 10 steps to reach it and then another 10 steps after getting off, which defeats the purpose. We never used the TV. The beds were bad enough, and the place was otherwise miserable.

The staff were really pleasant and helpful, and the location is super. It was cheap and cheerful, just what I wanted. Decent bathroom, clean bed, hairdryer and mini fridge. There was a safe, which I didn't use, and the Wi-Fi worked well. I left before breakfast, so can't comment on that. I visited at the end of October and didn't use the air conditioning. I'd definitely stay again.

The location is right by Kleopatra beach, and this is a genuine, good value hotel. I was a bit concerned after reading some reviews, but I loved my stay, so don't believe everything you read. The rooms were very clean and cleaned daily, the staff were friendly, the service was excellent, and the restaurant food was amazing.

The location is amazing, which seems to be the main reason people choose this place alongside the price. The beds were very comfortable and the balcony was spacious. Staff other than the owner were friendly, though they worked long hours, sometimes late into the night, without days off. We met guests in another room that was in much worse condition than ours and had no Wi-Fi. We stayed 11 days. There were four beds in our room for the two of us, so it took up a lot of space. The room wasn't especially clean: the windows were sticky, as was the shower glass and parts of the bathroom. A cleaner came each day to mop and take out rubbish, though we didn't ask for daily cleaning. The sheets weren't changed during our stay, and towels were changed only when requested. When we arrived, the floor was flooded from the fridge. I waited about 10 minutes at reception while the owner stayed in the office. He told me to wait until the cleaners came the next morning because he was the owner, not a cleaner, and couldn't do anything. To be fair, he did agree to give me two towels to mop up. The air conditioning remote cost 7 euros a day, which seemed too expensive given how hot Alanya gets. We didn't use the swimming pool. Room 406 had Wi-Fi because it faced the street, but it disconnected often and was too slow for Viber calls, although photos would send. There was occasional live music and loud talking, so sleeping with the terrace door open wasn't possible. Soundproofing was practically nonexistent, though we had quiet neighbours. We were told the hotel was renovated in 2018. It looks acceptable overall but needs repairs. The elevator was tiny and slow, and its ventilation didn't seem to work. Our room looked pleasant, and the bedding and towels were clean, but there were large stains on the walls, rusty shower shelves, and an ugly shelf under the toilet sink. Its wood was damaged by water, the handles were rusty and dirty, and the inside smelled bad. The wardrobe shelves looked like they could fall at any moment. The toilet seat was loose and the flush knob broken. Water pressure was fine and there was always hot water, but the old tap made it hard to find the right temperature. The TV had poor reception and few channels, and its remote was awkward, sometimes taking a while to turn it on. Breakfast was basic: sometimes an omelet, white cheese in different shapes, boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, three kinds of olives, fake butter, jam, good bread, oranges and watermelon that was sometimes fresh and sometimes not. Coffee was bad, tea was good. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional, and did their best to find another solution when something wasn't available. We met an injured guest from our country who asked to stay in our room for a couple of hours one afternoon rather than pay for late checkout. We requested fresh bedding afterwards, and it was changed within minutes. The restaurant barman, Rifai, stood out. His tasteful, unobtrusive jokes and thoughtful questions lifted the mood, and he seemed to know exactly where he needed to be. He felt like a captain keeping the boat on course, and he's a real asset to the hotel. Rukniddin, the young buss boy, was also excellent, keeping the tables clean without getting in the way and staying polite and cheerful even in a rush. We wish him the best. With some room repairs and the windows cleaned once a year, this could be a much nicer place. But the owner doesn't seem bothered.

The room next door had no windows, and the neighbouring hotel that I believe the owners also own was closed. The place is run down, the owners treat customers terribly, and the advert is false. It lists a gym, pool, spa, snooker table and dartboard, but none are there. Air conditioning costs £10 a night. I was meant to stay a week but started trying to leave after a couple of hours. The bathroom smelled, the shower door wouldn't work, the sink wasn't attached to the wall, and wires stuck out of the walls. Handles were broken, the bed was rock hard, there was no air conditioning, and a balcony chair was broken. The staff were extremely rude. Please don't stay until the hotel has major investment, new management and an updated list of facilities.
