Mesut Hotel

I'm reading the negative reviews and wondering if we stayed at the same hotel. Our week here was great. The all-inclusive meals were plentiful, with a different range of dishes each evening for all 7 days. I don't remember seeing the same food repeated during a day, either. The room was comfortable, especially the bed, and the AC worked well. Room service came daily around 1:30, with fresh towels each time. The bidet knob was broken when we arrived, but staff fixed it as soon as we reported it. The location was good too, with lots of bazaars offering the same replica goods for less than central Alanya, including a big bazaar down the street on Mondays. Nearby restaurants looked interesting. The TexMex threw me a bit, though it smelled great.

The beach area was poorly maintained, and the sunbeds were in terrible shape. We accidentally sat on loungers belonging to another hotel at the same bar, and were told to move in an extremely rude way. The elevator often failed or only went partway, even though the hotel has six floors. Our rooms were small and impractical. Despite asking, we didn't get fresh towels once during our 7-day stay, which is unacceptable. WiFi only worked in the lobby, with an extra fee for room access. Very few staff spoke English, so even basic requests were hard to communicate. The staff were unfriendly and didn't treat guests properly. After such a bad experience, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our stay at the Mesut Hotel turned out even better than we expected, and we really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and everything was clean. One thing that would help guests on departure day is having a room or shower available. Highly recommended!

Mesut hotel needs a serious renovation. The rooms are modest, but that wasn't really a problem since housekeeping was okay. What made me uncomfortable was how most of the staff acted: many were rude and unprofessional, and spoke little or no English. One receptionist made inappropriate jokes, and another time I was yelled at in Turkish and Russian, languages I don't understand. I also wouldn't recommend eating there. The food wasn't kept safely as I saw it, for instance the salads and cheese weren't stored in coolers. I don't recommend Mesut hotel.
