Really good.

Lovely.
The reviews I read while planning my holiday had put me off, but I’m glad I went anyway. The sea was a little cold, though still fine for swimming. There were jellyfish in the morning, but they went away later, and there wasn’t much seaweed. Sun loungers are indeed expensive, so make sure to ask for a discount.
The Grand Port is a lovely place to walk by the water and sit down to watch the sunset. It’s sheltered like a bay, so the sea is usually calm, and the coast is nice for a stroll or a meal at one of the fish restaurants. Summer can bring crowds, but the view and atmosphere make it worth visiting. It has one of the most beautiful views in Amasra.
The beach is being taken over by business owners who act as if it belongs to them. After 6 pm they line it with tables and serve customers, while ordinary people aren’t allowed in. I’ve never seen anything so absurd on another beach, and the municipality needs to sort it out. The municipality’s own cafe just above the beach is quite nice, though, with very reasonable prices, and that service deserves appreciation. The harbor and Amasra are beautiful, and the sea was good.
