Karadeniz Pansiyon

We were driving to Amasra and, after four hours on the road, needed somewhere just to sleep because I wasn't available. I found this place online and checked its reviews and location. After booking, I called reception to confirm our 1:00 AM arrival, and they were very helpful. We left the car in the municipal lot at the harbor, then walked three minutes to the accommodation. The receptionist kindly gave us a top-floor private room with a sea view and terrace, even though our booking was for a standard room. It was very clean, and noise was minimal. There was a little elevator noise on the terrace floor, but I thought the view made up for it. I'd recommend the place to friends and family.

We needed a room at short notice for one night, and they let us see it before we arrived. It was quite clean for a guesthouse, and the central location made it easy to walk everywhere from the square. There wasn't a parking space, but we had no trouble using the municipal car park. We were very pleased with the stay.

We stayed on September 7 after booking by phone, and they asked us to pay cash upfront. At checkout around 10 am, the management office was locked and empty, so we couldn't find anyone to give the key to. The bathroom is extremely small, especially the toilet area, where it's almost impossible to shut the door.

My daughter and I traveled from Izmir and were very happy with the cleanliness and service. We'll come back and stay at the Karadeniz Hotel again. Amasra itself was breathtaking. I loved looking from the terrace at the profile of my ancestor on the mountain, as if it had been carved there especially. I could never get enough of that view, the castle, or the restaurant where we had a lovely evening meal surrounded by the sea and nature.
