We booked a room, but when we arrived at the door, they told us, "sorry we don't have room." We were left out on the street with our luggage. Stay away if you don't want that happening.

The market location meant there didn't seem to be a quiet moment. Cleanliness was okay, but the towels were stiff as cardboard, and the room had plastic slippers instead of disposable ones. I was only there for one night, really just to sleep. It's not somewhere I'd take my significant other, but it'd do for a stay with my besties. 😂

The room was clean and the location was quite central. Since we were there in February, it was cold, and the room took a while to warm up after we turned on the air conditioner. We got chilly. We could have run it before heading out and come back to a warmer room. There was a kettle in the room, too, though it would've been nice to have a few tea bags. Thanks.

The air conditioner worked, which is why I gave it two stars, but I can't recommend the place at all. The street was very noisy, even though we'd wanted to stay in the center, and the noise carried on until 4 am. There was also a payment issue when I checked in. Since we were only going to be in Amasra for a few hours, I sorted it out myself and paid so we wouldn't lose time. After swimming in the sea, we couldn't shower because water was only dripping in the bathroom. Apparently, we were expected to tell them it wasn't running so they could turn it on at the valve. I've never heard of having to report that just to get water at a guesthouse.
