The breakfast, served from 7:00, was a real highlight: loads of cheese, fruit, salad, olives, eggs, bread, jam and honey, plus tea, instant coffee and juice. It was extremely good value. My room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was in good shape, Wi-Fi worked well, and there were tea and coffee facilities. I also liked the soap and gel dispensers instead of little bottles. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, and the hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Ankara's main railway station and metro lines. I had no other problems during my stay, but the payment was a concern. The amount charged was a few percent higher than the quoted price. Booking.com showed the price in euros, which converted to less in pounds that day. Since the hotel took payment without me putting my card into a terminal, they may have used DCC. Cardholder consent is legally required for that. I gave them my email address but never received an invoice, though they could also have sent one through their Booking.com account.

The room got hotter than outside, even with the windows open late in the evening, because the air conditioning wasn't working. The decor looked pretty worn, though the bed seemed clean. Wi-Fi didn't reach our room either.

Coming all the way from Kenya, I still haven't found a better hotel than Akar International. The service is incredible, the staff are super friendly, and the sauna left me so relaxed. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a special treat. Simply amazing 👌

The restaurant food was divine, and everyone we met was warm and ready to help us get settled. When we arrived, the bellhop greeted us, took our luggage and even parked our car. Inside, the lobby felt calm and relaxing. I loved staying here in Ankara. I'd give it more stars if I could.

The location was great, and the spa hours were 10 in the morning to 10 at night. We also got a complimentary breakfast, which was really good. Honestly, one of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while. Everyone made us feel welcome. I'd come back in a heartbeat.
