Ankara Otel Evren

It's a rather unusual hotel, and nobody speaks English, but it worked fine for what we needed. The breakfast was very good, and yes, we'll come back on our next trip.

The service was good, especially from zekiria, who has a great sense of humor.

The lack of Wi-Fi was unacceptable, and the beds made for a miserable night. They felt like two pieces pushed together, so I couldn't lie down properly. My back didn't rest on the bed, only my legs and head had support. The room situation was just as bad: my friend and I booked one night for something we had to do in Ankara the next morning, and the reservation clearly said a private room with two beds. At check-in, the receptionist said it was actually a shared room with six people. We had to pay another 1000 TL to get a private room together. Getting there was awful too. The area felt unsafe and run-down, with smoke all around and nearby buildings that looked ready to collapse. Even the taxi driver asked if we were sure it was the right place. It also seemed far from the city center, like being in the middle of nowhere. The location, added charge, uncomfortable beds, and no Wi-Fi made this the worst hotel stay I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend it or stay there again, and I'd tell others to avoid it.

The staff were warm and accommodating, and the stay matched what we expected for the price.
