Dafne Hotel

I went for breakfast a few times and loved it. I'd recommend that foreign residents of Ankara try the Sunday breakfast at Dafne Hotel restaurant.

The receptionist was the best part of my stay. She was warm, welcoming, and professional, and made check in and my general questions pleasant to deal with. The breakfast was decent, with a variety of local options, and good enough to start the day. The location looked central on the map, but felt far from key places and conveniences. Getting to restaurants, shops, or city centers meant a long walk or a taxi, which was frustrating when I wanted to explore on foot. My two night stay had several room problems. The air conditioning didn't work, so it was uncomfortably hot, especially at night. The bedsheets didn't seem properly cleaned, and the room felt old and poorly maintained. Wi-Fi was very weak and unreliable, barely good enough for simple tasks, which was a major downside. The receptionist made a genuine effort to be welcoming, but the room condition, broken air conditioning, poor Wi-Fi, and location greatly affected my stay. With some important improvements, the hotel could offer more. Until then, I'd only recommend it for a short stay or an emergency, not for comfort or convenience.

We stayed one night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was okay, but the air conditioning was awful. It didn't cool at all and made an uncomfortable noise. I complained at reception, but she didn't apologize, as if she already knew about the problems.

We arrived early in the morning and got into our room right away. The place felt very cosy, and the receptionist was nice and helped us a lot, though I can't remember her name. It's close to a big shopping mall with good restaurants.
