Grand Dora Hotel

We could check in quite late, and the location was one of the hotel's good points. We chose it because of its ratings on Booking and Google Maps, but I wouldn't book again. The room wasn't very clean, and the toilet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Shower water didn't drain properly and pooled on the floor. Things were falling apart, including the chair, whose broken back made it impossible to lean back properly. I'm allergic to dust, and my nose stayed blocked for the whole stay. Room service didn't make me feel any better about the cleanliness.

We stayed for a week as a family and rented three rooms. They were tiny and very dirty, and daily cleaning was minimal. The bathrooms were dated and had lots of broken fixtures. Staff didn't speak English, which made communication hard. Breakfast was leftovers from the day before, with dirty glasses and utensils every time. The nice online photos don't show what it was like. It felt like they cared about money and not the guests. A terrible experience. Definitely not recommended!

Close to central Ankara, so the location was good. The staff were polite and helpful. We asked for an iron, but they didn't have one. We also had to ask several times before anyone cleaned our room.

A fair price for clean, quiet rooms with plenty of space. The reception lady was especially good, and all the staff showed compassion when they heard we'd come from the earthquake area. They immediately offered a discount and refused any tips. Perfect hotel, perfect staff. Thanks so much to everyone working in this Otel…
