Holiday Inn Express Ankara Airport by IHG

I stayed for more than two weeks, and Elif was so kind, patient, and sweet. She always sorted out any issue I had. The young man who served breakfast was amazing too, though I can’t remember his name, only that it began with an E. The room was very clean, modern, and high quality, with all the amenities I needed, including a hairdryer. The air conditioning worked well, the bed was soft, and a non-smoking room was available. I was recovering from surgery and chose a hotel far from the hospital because I wasn’t going out much anyway. It suited my needs, and food could be delivered, though it is away from the city center and shops. The food at the cafe was amazing and freshly made. I loved the handmade mushroom pizza and chicken donner. A few things could be better. The dinner buffet had a lot of beef, and more chicken would be nice since not all cultures eat beef. Breakfast had a large selection, but the same items each day got a bit repetitive after a week. I was told I had to eat from the buffet in the morning, and couldn’t buy an omelette or other paid items. Pet dogs were allowed, which wasn’t to my taste, though others may not mind.

My previous stays at Holiday Inn hotels in Europe, three times, were never this bad. Here, the room wasn’t clean, there were even burn marks on the pillow, and breakfast was terrible, with poor-quality food and little variety. When problems came up, the staff weren’t helpful. They also charged extra for coffee if you asked for it more than 20 minutes after breakfast ended. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have no other option.

My flight was delayed, so I stayed at this hotel and was extremely satisfied with how clean it was and with the quality of both dinner and breakfast. Mr. ANIL at reception was very helpful and speaks excellent English. Thanks, Anil.

The price was right, and the breakfast was quite good. It’s a large, new hotel near Ankara Airport, with private parking. My room was comfortable, with a good bed and a modern bathroom, though it had no window.
