The breakfast team is what really stands out. Each morning they greeted guests with genuine smiles, paid attention to the details, and brought both warmth and professionalism to the service. The food had plenty of variety and was very good quality. I’ve been staying at the Sheraton Hotel in Ankara for over a month, and the rooms have been spacious, modern, and consistently spotless. It’s a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and sincere hospitality in Ankara.

Mehtap, one of the Guest Service Center Managers, deserves a big thank-you for her dedication, full support, and excellent leadership. With her help, every request was handled quickly and easily. The whole team was friendly and attentive, and their professionalism and positive energy made a real difference throughout my stay. From the room cleanliness to the cheerful welcome, the high service standards were clear. I had a wonderful experience and would gladly return.

The views from floor 21 are spectacular, and the hotel’s location is top notch. I was traveling for business and couldn’t make use of the spa, gym, or pool, but the lounge bar became my late-evening escape. Many thanks to Ozlon, who was so patient and careful with me early every morning. Reception staff are young and a little inexperienced, though they make up for it with care and hospitality. A great choice for business travel.

Kubra, the concierge, was genuinely lovely and went out of her way to help us. Melissa, the on-site supervisor, was also professional and helped move us to another room the next day, when one became available. We appreciated the complimentary desserts she offered, but they didn’t undo the stress of having to repack after we’d settled in. We stayed at the Sheraton Ankara Hotel & Convention Center in October as part of a complimentary experience with Turkish Airlines. A large business convention was underway at check-in, but the room we were given was still disappointing for a hotel marketed as five-star. It was meant to be non-smoking, yet smelled strongly of cleaning detergent and cigarette smoke. The carpet was worn and visibly stained, and the pillows seemed to have mould spots and smelled of cigarettes. The room amenities hadn’t been stocked either. We asked to change rooms right away, but the hotel was full and we were told we’d need to wait until the next day. Another letdown was the staff member by the gym, where the massage and spa facilities are too. He was rude and unhelpful, with none of the warmth or professionalism you’d expect in a hotel. That area should feel relaxing and welcoming, but it left a sour taste. We tried the hotel’s hammam spa. The service was polite and the treatment itself was fine, but it didn’t feel authentic to us because there were no Turkish staff performing the hammam. The experience felt generic, and if I’d paid out of pocket, I wouldn’t have thought it was worth the price. There are some good people on staff, but that didn’t make up for the poor room condition and lack of attention to detail. The smoke smell, dirty carpet, questionable pillows, and hassle of switching rooms left the stay below expectations. If you want a truly comfortable premium stay in Ankara, I’d look at other options first. The Sheraton name is there, but my experience fell short of the standards I expected.
