The camp has a meaningful purpose: its founders, who are educators, want to pass Anatolian culture on to future generations. Both children and parents have fun while learning, and I really appreciated that mission. Our two and a half days were full. In the mornings, instructors took children door to door to wake anyone still asleep, playing Keloglan music. The first day followed the planned program with an introduction circle and games. That evening, stories were told by the stove in an Ankara village house, and we played hide-and-seek outside. The next day's program continued after breakfast at 9 a.m. The food was satisfying, prepared and cooked by the operator. I think the meals were enough, and the children get their favorite foods morning, noon, and night. The grounds are large, and I guarantee you'll leave with a wonderful experience and without getting bored. We stayed in November, and the rooms were incredibly hot, so hot you might want to sleep with a window open. Rooms are cleaned before arrival, not daily during the stay, though you're only really in them between activities and bedtime. It was a wonderful visit. Thanks to all the staff and the founders for bringing this idea to life.

I drove 110 km to get there, and it was definitely worth it. This is one of the most beautiful museums I've visited in Ankara, and it took me back to my childhood.

We used a map to make our way from Beypazarı city center to the museum, only to learn on arrival that frozen water pipes had forced it to close. It was absurd to travel all that way and find it shut, with no alternative offered, so we had to turn back. Since it's a private museum, I asked about the admission charge too. The attendant said it was around 120 TL, which seemed excessive for the area. I wondered whether closing it just to make a profit made any sense. The museum is advertised well, but visitors need better information in advance. I couldn't visit. They said they'd open during the break, which is important for students coming in groups, of course ;). Good luck.

The children had a great time with Mr. Sinan, who led their activities with patience, sincerity, care, and a cheerful attitude. They didn't want to leave after our two days there, and they barely thought about screens. It felt more like a week because we became close with everyone. The room was spotless, and the grounds felt calming, with no unnecessary clutter or anything visually jarring. The site took about five years to build, with each house crafted by specialist artisans to reflect one of Turkey's seven regions, such as the Ankara house, Black Sea house, and Mediterranean house. The southeastern region house, for example, is made of adobe. Security was excellent, so we didn't worry about the children or our room. Thanks as well to Ms. Ayşe for looking after the room and cafe services.

The visit starts with a pleasant journey. When you arrive, a guide gives you some information, then you're free to look around by yourself. You can go inside three of the historical houses and get a closer look at the past. There are shops and small games too. Apparently they put on events about old history when it's crowded. Prices seemed a little high to me. A full ticket was 100 TL!
