Yurt Akademi Ankara

There are rooms for one, two, three, or four people, and the dorm stays warm enough in winter. I had no dorm-related trouble with the electricity, water, or internet during my stay. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and filling, and the cooks prepared them in very hygienic conditions. The location is close to the city center and the streets where young people spend time. If something comes up, the manager, Ayşe, is attentive to students and their many requests.

I’m giving five stars so this review shows up near the top. The photos make it look like a hotel room, but the room we stayed in had bunk beds. The bathroom and toilet were beyond awful and not usable. In the middle of the night, I woke to dripping sounds from a leak in the upstairs WC area above the bathroom. We didn’t use the bathroom or toilet, and since we left early in the morning, we didn’t see anyone in charge. Please don’t put yourselves through what we did.

The food was especially good, both filling and delicious, and the rooms felt comfortable and cozy. I was pleased with the dorm overall, and Ms. Ayşe was a very kind, attentive person.

The location and facilities are good, and the dorm is affordable and caring. I recently moved in, and whenever there’s a problem, the staff are helpful and attentive.
